TOUGH LUCK BARBER

Tough Luck Barber is the story of a group of friends that pursued their craft and dreamed of starting a business with one another. Serving East End, EADO, the University of Houston, and all of Greater Houston, this barber provides classic and modern cuts with a laid-back vibe. Their hope is that all guests are able to walk in, kick their feet up, open a cold drink and relax before they leave feeling fresh and looking good.

For this project we wanted to capture each barber and atmosphere of the shop. As they aim to provide a classic yet modern experience in the chairs, we followed suit. From production to post, we wanted to meet their cool vibe with warm, natural tones, allowing the natural light from the transparent garage door to fill the space.

Our deliverables included shorts of every barber, photos and stills, as well as a teaser of a short film titled, "The Barber: A Long Standing Tradition." The short film would share the story of how friends turned barbers to business owners are continuing to keep the barber shop community alive for all men who set in their chair.
